I have not Paradise Lost nor the work of Phillip Pullman. However, I believe that the primary mode of aesthetics should include feeling behind the creativity of the project. By that, I mean each artist uses a different variety colors of colors to express their inner emotions. For example, blue to resemble sadness or depression, yellow to resemble joy, etc. I see this in analogue to making visual artistic work because myself, as an artist, should be allowed to let our inner thoughts run wild.
